ECG Event Rules
ECG Event Rules are designed to manage the detection and flagging of specific ECG abnormalities, such as ectopy and arrhythmias, based on the ECG analysis. Given the potential volume of detections, it’s often unnecessary to flag every instance, as this could overwhelm the review process. Instead, the focus should be on the ECG events most relevant to your clinical study or healthcare use case, ensuring that only significant events are highlighted for further analysis.
- Add ECG Event Rules:
- Begin by clicking the “Add ECG Event Rules” button to start configuring the rules for your study.
- Select Event Types:
- Choose the specific ECG events that are of interest for your study, such as Atrial Fibrillation, Ventricular Tachycardia, or other arrhythmias.
- Flagging on the Web Portal:
- Indicate how these selected events should be flagged within the Web Portal, ensuring that they are highlighted for easy identification by healthcare professionals.
- Set Up Notifications:
- If desired, configure notification settings for these events. You can choose to send alerts via email or SMS to specified recipients, such as research staff or clinicians, ensuring timely responses to significant findings.
Within the ECG Rules configuration, users can also decide whether to capture Automated Strips. If it's selected as "Yes," Web Portal will automatically select the typical strips for each type of the detected event. These strips provide sections of the ECG that show relevant instances of the detected event type and can be included in the ECG Analysis Report. For example, in the case of tachycardias, the Automated Strips will highlight the fastest and longest tachycardia events, offering a detailed view of the most critical occurrences.
