Generating ECG Reports
Reports can be generated to document all activities and data reviewed during the study. These reports provide a comprehensive summary that can be saved as a PDF and added to the patient’s or participant’s medical record. Additionally, these reports can be used to document your work and can be included in your billing processes.
To generate a report, you can:
1) Navigate to the Patient view and click “Generate Report.”
2) Navigate to the Reports menu.
Steps to Create an ECG Report:
- Select Data for ECG Reporting:
- Choose the type of data you wish to include in the report. This article will focus on ECG analysis.
- You also have the option to include automated ECG strips along with the events you marked during the overread process.
- Set the ECG Report Timeframe:
- Define the start and end times for the report. This allows you to specify the exact period you want to cover.
- ECG Report Settings:
- Click “[ECG Report Template Setting]” to customize the format and content of the report, including the title, header, and report content settings. Click the "Apply" button to save your changes. Alternatively, you could click the "Reset" button to revert to the default settings.

- Generate the ECG Report:
- After setting the timeframe, click the “Generate” button. The report will start processing in the background, so you can continue with other tasks without needing to wait for it to finish.
- Once the report is ready, the Report List will display options to “Preview” or “Delete” the report under the “Actions” column.
- Preview the ECG Report:
- Click the “Preview” button to view the report directly in your browser.
- Review and Edit the ECG Report:
- The report's first page summarizes the vitals and ECG Events (after overreading). You will also find a section labeled “Preliminary Findings,” where you can enter your clinical interpretation and evaluation.
- After entering your findings, click “Save” to preserve your changes.
- Finalize and Archive the ECG Report:
Once your review is complete, click “Archive.” This will finalize the report and make it available as a PDF within the Patient List for download.
