Quick Patient Assignment
Quick Patient Assignment can streamline the onboarding of new patients into the Vivalink Web Portal by simply entering their information into the Vivalink Mobile App.
When this feature is enabled, a device associated with the Web Portal is assigned to a new subject in the Mobile App, which automatically creates a corresponding patient record in the Web Portal. Similarly, if a device is added to an existing Subject ID or Patient ID in the Mobile App, the device is instantly associated with that patient in the Web Portal, eliminating the need for manual updates.
This functionality allows for rapid deployment of sensors and quick visualization of data within the Web Portal, even before additional details such as physician assignment or protocol selection are configured. Quick Patient Assignment is an efficient way to get started with data monitoring, with the flexibility to add necessary information to support notifications at a later time.
Enabling Quick Patient Assignment
A Program Manager can enable this feature by navigating to the “Settings” menu and selecting the “Other Settings” sub-menu. Under “Quick Patient Assignment Setting,” slide the toggle to “Enabled.”
To ensure that the Quick Patient Assignment feature automatically associates patients with devices, the devices must first be imported into the Device List via the Devices menu. It’s essential to upload or enter the device inventory before relying on Quick Patient Assignment for automatic patient entry into the Web Portal.
Quick Patient Assignment Workflow
The Web Portal uses the subject-device association from the Mobile App to either automatically create the patient profile and establish the patient-device link or update an existing patient-device association.
Completing the Patient Profile
Patient Profiles can be accessed via the Patient Management menu. When enabling Quick Patient Assignment, patients are automatically assigned the “Quick Patient Assignment Monitoring Protocol.” The care team should reassign a monitoring protocol according to their preferences.
Additionally, a physician should be assigned to the patient, especially if notifications will be configured to be sent to a physician. Other details, such as the patient’s name and date of birth, can also be added to complete the Patient Profile.
